While thanking you for the effort on this post, I’d like to make some clarifications, amplifications and corrections to it.
While Pierre may have been signed by Nantes when 16 years old (and I can find no conformation for the claim), He didn’t play for the first team until he was 18 in 1980. Here is his career sheet as kept by a Niort website (Note: The Minnesota Thunder stats are not accurate; more later):
After his career in France was over he was NOT a member of the Minnesota Thunder in 1992, indoors or out. First off, Minnesota did not have an indoor team that was affiliated with the USL or any other league:

By scrolling down to the bottom of the page linked above, you can check the 1992 and ’92-’93 seasons as well. You will not find any Minnesota team listed. At that time, the Thunder were an unaffiliated amateur outdoor team. As far as I am aware of, they have never fielded an indoor squad except for the occasional inter-squad exhibition. (I have sent an e-mail to current Thunder Club President and player from the club’s inception in 1990 to’96, Manuel Lagos for confirmation on this. I will post a correction if the above sentence is incorrect. I doubt it will be.) More importantly, the profile of Morice in the Thunder’s 1995 yearbook says that he was entering his second year with the club. In the above link, you will note that there was an Illinois Thunder playing indoors in the NPSL during the ’91-’92 season. That franchise moved to Denver for the ’92-’93 season. Although I cannot find a source establishing his belonging to the Illinois Thunder, his being released from a low budgeted franchise that was moving hundreds of miles away certainly fits your narrative better than a nonexistent indoor squad.
To round out his playing career, he joined the Thunder in 1994, still an amateur club under its first year of affiliation with the USISL, now the USL. He played left mid in a 4-4-2 formation for both of his years with the team. While 1994 season stats for the Thunder are currently unavailable (I’m working on that), he helped the team finish its regular season undefeated at the top of the Midwest Division. It eventually lost out to Greensboro in the league championship match.
In 1995, Pierre scored 6 goals with 20 assists during the year, helping the Thunder to again reach the league final, which they lost to Long Island. After the 1995 season, Pierre announced his retirement as a player.
I hope I have helped to clarify the career of a fine player and person.

By the way, here’s a site that shows you exactly where he played on the pitch through his years with Nantes:

Thought it might be of mild interest.
