Rowdies Memorabilia - 1980 Rowdies vs. Nottingham Forest Pennant
The pennant that was given to the Nottingham Forest captain before their Exhibition Game. Played at Tampa Stadium on July 25th, 1980. The game ended in a 0-0 tie.

I was fortunate enough to play in the pre-match entertainment game as 15 year old. We were touring from Eastleigh (England) and played the Florida under 18 all stars. It was a fantastic experience although we lost. It was the start of my love of Florida. I've been back 7 times and loved every minute. I wonder if you can tell me if the the Rowdies v Forest game and maybe any of our games was recorded and if it was how can I get a copy?
Hi Russ, Many thanks for your comment, as far as I know the game wasn't televised. But, a good friend of mine may know, his web site is here: http://www.davebrett.com/ - He has a very large collection of NASL games on DVD. Did, you ever take any photos whilst you were at the game?
I was on a fly drive holiday and happened to be in Tampa that day so went to the game that night. Still got my Rowdies t shirt. Anymore Sheffield Wednesday fans been to a Forrest away game in the USA? There were five of us there that night.
