1985 Rowdies

Due to the folding of the NASL, the Rowdies continued by playing an exhibition game against the US World Cup Team, on the July 4th, 1985, at Tampa Stadium.

The Rowdies were made up of players that had played for them during the 1975 to 1984 period, plus guest players which included Osvaldo Ardiles, Glenn Hoddle and the late Bobby Moore. The Rowdies would lose the game 1-2, with Hoddle scoring the only goal in front of an attendance of 30,038.
