I have searched on "Google" for many years looking for information relating to the Tampa Bay Rowdies, who played in the North American Soccer League (NASL) between 1975 to 1984. They would continue till 1993, when the club folded. A former Rowdies' player, Mike Connell has posted a website: http://www.tampabayrowdies.com/ but this only covers their NASL years, I wanted something that covered their entire history. So Iam hopefuly going to do that here. It will probably take some time to do this but, I will hopefully have a good go at doing so. For many years I have been trying to track down former Rowdies' players, as Iam trying to obtain the autograph of every player, coach to have been associated with the team. I still need 73 players to complete the enitre All-Time Roster 1975 to 1993. I will also be adding scans of memorabilia from my own Rowdies collection. Also, I would love to hear from former fans and players with their memories.

I grew up supporting Chelsea, my favourite player was John Boyle, a rough Scottish player, as a defender he would follow the forwards he was marking all over the pitch.
Giving them a kick every now and again, to let them know he was around.
He also had a bit of flair, not like the superstars of today.
Later in his career, when he left Chelsea for Leyton Orient, it broke my heart. But, I continued to follow his career. Then he went to the States to play for the newly formed Tampa Bay Rowdies in 1975.
With thanks to a then penpal, I continued to follow his career from afar. Because of this, I became a big fan of the Rowdies, which has continued to this very day.
A team that is still sadly missed, but are to return in 2010.
I was once asked which football/soccer player would I most like to meet, I thought of the likes of Pele, Cruyff, Rep, Rivelino but there is only one for me and that is Rodney Marsh.
I was also a big fan of the North American Soccer League.
