Nick Papadakis 1975 (id)

Nicholas "Nick" Papadakis was born March 6th, 1943 in Athens, Greece. Had amateur experience with Parathenaikos of Greece, Italian Football Club of Winnipeg, Canada and Albany Football Club of Albany, New York. Arrived in America in 1959 from Athens. A Canadian Citizen.
Was an All-American college player for two years at Hartwick College of Oneonta, New York. Scored 77 goals at Hartwick.
He made his debut for the Atlanta Chiefs in 1968, making only 2 appearances. Started at center forward for the Canadian World Cup Team against the USA on October 27th, 1968 in a 0-1 loss. He would make a total of 4 appearances for Canada, all in 1968.
In 1969, his second season with the Chiefs, Nick scored 4 goals. He would improve his goal tally in 1970, with 10 goals in 22 games.
1971, he would be joined by his younger brother Alec, Nick played in 29 games, and scored 8 goals for the Chiefs.
In the final year (1972) of the Atlanta Chiefs, he scored 1 goal in 10 games. A change of ownership saw the Chiefs become the Atlanta Apollos in 1973, and would only last the season. Nick appeared in only 3 games.
After the 1973 season, I cannot find anyother information regarding his career.
In 1975, he appeared in 2 games for the Rowdies during their first NASL indoor season, scoring 2 goals. Again, after this I cannot find anymore info.
Today, Nick resides in Atlanta, GA and works in the Mortgage Business.
